We are primarily interested in understanding the chemical processes of how metalloenzymes have emerged and evolved by the intricate orchestration of inorganic elements with protein environments. Therefore, we discover novel metalloenzymes, distinguish their chemical functions and mechanisms, and design ones for biocatalysis and therapeutics.
